DESCANSO
This was overgrown and a steep Silver Lake backyard slope the clients could not access. The concept for this project was respite from the heat, a terraced landscape that referenced the mediterranean with fruit trees, lavender fields, espaliered apples and old Fig. We kept it rustic when we introduced grapes with simple rebar arbor for them to grow across provide another layer a shade. We used lots of restraint with color and explored all the tones of green, for a feel of lushness and relief on the eye. The deck and the seating are custom as are the seat covers.
